Sustainable Bolivia is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public benefit institution with offices in the United States and Cochabamba, Bolivia. Sustainable Bolivia was founded in 2007 and works with over 35 community aid partners in and around the city of Cochabamba.

About the Position:

In 2016, SB is expanding its operations into the Bolivian Amazon, establishing a new venture focused on sustainable energy, conservation, permaculture and traditional plant-based medicine. SB is currently looking for a marketing/social media intern who can help us promote this new project.

Please note: Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

    Draft social media posts
    Edit website content
    Analyze web usage and conduct search engine optimization (SEO)
    Conduct market research
    Identify new websites for promotion
    Develop strategic online partnerships
    Utilize online analytical platforms such as Google Analytics
    Keyword research and link building
    Manage projects as assigned by Sustainable Bolivia staff
    Coordinate regularly with a variety of local grass-roots organizations. 

Requirements

    Fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    Strong communication and writing skills
    Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
    Good problem-solving skills, organization and attention to detail
    Ability to work under pressure and adapt to new situations.
    Interest in working in an international environment, with an international team
    Minimum commitment of 2 months
    Positive attitude to learn new skills and latest marketing tools/technology 

Preferred Skills

    Knowledge of SEO best practices
    Experience doing social media marketing, PR, and strategic campaigns
    Ability to manage WordPress
    Experience in AdWords campaigns 

The successful applicant will be expected to provide 35 hours of work per week depending on needs, and will be someone who can contribute to the culture of Sustainable Bolivia. The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, and loves to interact with a variety of people from a variety of different backgrounds.
